What is it?

ZeoMedical has developed the ZeoRelief™ system, a computer programmable, self-contained thermal therapy system to provide drug-free and comfortable treatments for sports training, sports injuries, soft-tissue injuries of any kind, arthritis and many other pain related conditions, where ice or heating bags would normally be used.

How does it work?

Patients apply a wrap to their pain sites and attach it to the ZeoRelief™ system. A treatment program is selected, providing timed cooling or heating liquid on demand which flows through the wrap, cooling or heating the patients pain site. The computer controls temperature changes in programs, which may be individually named and saved, e.g. "right knee for training", "left hand for arthritis", "lower back warm up" and so on.

What are advantages?

The ZeoRelief™ system was designed for the modern era of computer controlled and Internet capable treatment:

• As a digital platform, the ZeoRelief™ system allows physicians to create and store custom therapy protocols for individual treatments and custom patient needs, all conveniently within the device. 
• Using computer control, treatments can be recalled and applied repeatedly in the same way, once the patient has found their comfort level for heating and cooling levels. This helps keep patient loyalty.
• As a system designed to store information in the cloud, treatments may be shared, increasing value among practitioner groups.
• Instructions and other helpful information may be downloaded to the system, providing patients and practitioners with the latest helpful tips, tricks and instructions.

How are users reacting?

Based on clinician interviews, this therapy provides a proven option for arthritic pain as an alternative to costly and potentially addicting painkilling drugs, such as Oxycontin®.

Based on sports medicine interviews, new avenues of treatment may be available and tested soon for advanced training, injury and rehab protocols.
